I
wanted to share my testimony to be an encouragement to others.
My name is Pamela. I served 51/2 years in prison due to a drug
addiction. I’ve been in drug treatments & lived
a life filled with rebellion.
I got locked up Jan 8, 2001. I was in the OCJ. March 28th they placed
me in a Christian dorm (which I did not want to be in). I decided to
give it a couple weeks & on
April 15 (Resurrection day), I gave my life to Jesus. What an awesome
thing…to give your heart to the Lord.
I made a decision to read the word daily, do bible studies & get
to know my Lord & Savior Jesus Christ.
I got out June 12, 2006. I had a plan…The word says: “Seek ye first the
Kingdom of God & His
Righteousness….” I knew that my 1st priority was to get spiritually connected,
so I wrote many places for a faith based re-entry program.
God is faithful…I
went to the City of Refuge (saved me a bed at 7 mths), attended an awesome
church that I still attend, and got a job. I’ve kept the same job and
got another job only 3 mths after I got out and still work at both. I
have been promoted to supervisor in both jobs. I’ve met a man of God
and will be married May 16th 2009. I’m so excited.
God will reward those who diligently seek Him. Keep Him 1st place in
your life. Be faithful to Him & He
will be faithful to you.
Passion for Prison was very important to me. The time that was spent
just loving us for who we are & sharing
the love of Jesus was phenomenal. I really love how you shared stories
of your lives & the lives of others that had been released before us. The movies were very inspiring & I believe that we were able to relate those movies to our everyday lives.
I want to thank Jessica, Scotty & Passion
for Prison for all you do. Your dedication to all the inmates in the
prison & for those transitioning is amazing. Thank you so much for always thinking of
us. Even today you are still sending birthday & Christmas cards to the released. It means so much to me that you stay in contact.
I love that you come to visit & continue to visit even after almost 3 years. What a blessing & an encouragement you have been to me. You have really showed the love of Jesus,
not only on the inside but on the outside of the walls as well.
Many blessings to you & all who
have the privilege to be a part of your ministry.
I love you all…
Trust in Jesus, Love Pamela
